The famous little rabbit Miffy is actually named Nijntje and comes from the Dutch picture books by Dick Bruna, the first of which was published in 1955. The minimalist design and the endearing stories, in which Miffy and her friends experience all sorts of adventures, made the little white rabbit world-famous.
